I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the Conquest, riding his she-camel and reciting Surah al-Fath, or part of Surah al-Fath. He drew out his voice in a quavering tone as he recited.Then Muawiya recited, imitating the recitation of Ibn Mughafal, and said, "Were it not that the people would crowd around you, I would have drawn out my voice just as Ibn Mughafal did, imitating the Prophet ﷺ."I asked Muawiya, "How did he draw out his voice?"He replied, "Aa, aa, aa," three times.
حدثنا أحمد بن أبي سريج أخبرنا شبابة حدثنا شعبة عن معاوية بن قرة
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يوم الفتح على ناقة له يقرأ سورة الفتح أو من سورة الفتح قال فرجع فيها قال ثم قرأ معاوية يحكي قراءة ابن مغفل وقال لولا أن يجتمع الناس عليكم لرجعت كما رجع ابن مغفل يحكي النبي ﷺ فقلت لمعاوية كيف كان ترجيعه قال آ آ آ ثلاث مرات
