Abu Hurairah reported,

Sometimes he mentioned the Prophet ﷺ saying, "When the servant draws near to Me by a hand-span, I draw near to him by a cubit, and when he draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by a fathom."Mutamir said, "I heard my father say, 'I heard Anas narrate from the Prophet ﷺ, who relates it from his Lord .'"

عن أبي هريرة قال

ربما ذكر النبي ﷺ قال إذا تقرب العبد مني شبرا تقربت منه ذراعا وإذا تقرب مني ذراعا تقربت منه باعا أو بوعا وقال معتمر سمعت أبي سمعت أنسا عن النبي ﷺ يرويه عن ربه عز وجل
