The Prophet ﷺ was speaking one day, and with him sat a man from the desert dwellers. He said that a man from the people of Paradise would seek permission from his Lord to plant crops. His Lord would say to him, "Are you not already in whatever state you wish?"He would reply, "Indeed I am, but I love to plant."So he would hurry and scatter the seed, and in the blink of an eye it would sprout, grow tall, ripen, and be harvested into heaps like mountains. Then Allah, the Exalted, would say, "Take it, son of Adam, for nothing ever satisfies you."The Arabi said, "Messenger of Allah, you will only find such a man among the Quraysh or the Ansar, for they are people of cultivation. As for us, we are not people of cultivation."So the Messenger of Allah laughed.
