Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah said, "Fasting is for Me, and I Myself will reward it. The fasting person leaves his desire, his food, and his drink for My sake. Fasting is a shield. The fasting person has two joys, a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The breath of the fasting person is more fragrant to Allah than the scent of musk."

عن النبي ﷺ قال يقول الله عز وجل الصوم لي وأنا أجزي به يدع شهوته وأكله وشربه من أجلي والصوم جنة وللصائم فرحتان فرحة حين يفطر وفرحة حين يلقى ربه ولخلوف فم الصائم أطيب عند الله من ريح المسك
