Whenever someone came to the Prophet ﷺ asking for something, and sometimes the narrator said whenever a petitioner or someone in need came to him, he would say, "Intercede on his behalf and you will be rewarded, and Allah will decree through the tongue of His Messenger whatever He wills."

كان النبي ﷺ إذا أتاه السائل وربما قال جاءه السائل أو صاحب الحاجة قال اشفعوا فلتؤجروا ويقضي الله على لسان رسوله ما شاء
