A man heard another man reciting "Say, He is Allah, the One" [Ikhlas 112:1] repeatedly. The next morning, he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him, as though the man considered the surah to be insignificant.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, it is equivalent to a third of the Quran."Ismail bin Jafar added in his narration from Malik, from Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Saeed, "My brother Qatada bin Numan informed me from the Prophet ﷺ."
حدثنا إسماعيل حدثني مالك عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي صعصعة عن أبيه
أن رجلا سمع رجلا يقرأ قل هو الله أحد يرددها فلما أصبح جاء إلى النبي ﷺ فذكر له ذلك وكأن الرجل يتقالها فقال رسول الله ﷺ والذي نفسي بيده إنها لتعدل ثلث القرآن زاد إسماعيل بن جعفر عن مالك عن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه عن أبي سعيد أخبرني أخي قتادة بن النعمان عن النبي ﷺ
