Ubayd bin Umayr reported,

Abu Musa came seeking permission to enter upon Umar, but it seemed he found him occupied, so he turned back. Umar said, "Did I not hear the voice of Abdullah bin Qays? Let him in."He was called back, and Umar asked him, "What made you do what you did?"Abu Musa replied, "We used to be commanded to do this."Umar said, "Bring me proof of this, or I shall deal with you severely."So Abu Musa went to a gathering of the Ansar. They said, "None will testify for you except the youngest among us." Then Abu Saeed Khudri stood up and said, "We used to be commanded to do this."Umar said, "This matter of the Prophet ﷺ was hidden from me. Trading in the markets distracted me."
