The sa during the time of the Prophet ﷺ was equal to one and a third mudd by your present-day mudd, and it has since been increased. Qasim bin Malik heard this from al-Juayd.

كان الصاع على عهد النبي ﷺ مدا وثلثا بمدكم اليوم وقد زيد فيه سمع القاسم بن مالك الجعيد
