Ibn Abbas was asked, "Did you attend the Eid prayer with the Prophet ﷺ?"He replied, "Yes, and were it not for my close relationship to him, I would not have attended given my young age. He came to the landmark near the house of Kathir bin Salt and performed the prayer, then delivered the sermon. He mentioned neither an adhan nor an iqamah. Then he commanded that charity be given, and the women began pointing to their ears and throats. He instructed Bilal, who went to them, then returned to the Prophet ﷺ."
حدثنا محمد بن كثير أخبرنا سفيان
سئل ابن عباس أشهدت العيد مع النبي ﷺ قال نعم ولولا منزلتي منه ما شهدته من الصغر فأتى العلم الذي عند دار كثير بن الصلت فصلى ثم خطب ولم يذكر أذانا ولا إقامة ثم أمر بالصدقة فجعل النساء يشرن إلى آذانهن وحلوقهن فأمر بلالا فأتاهن ثم رجع إلى النبي ﷺ
