I came to Ayesha while the sun was being eclipsed. The people were standing in prayer, and she too was standing in prayer. I asked, "What is the matter with the people?"She pointed with her hand toward the sky and said, "Glory be to Allah."I asked, "Is this a sign?"She nodded her head to indicate, "Yes."When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said, "There is nothing I had not seen before that I have not now seen from this place of mine, even Paradise and the Fire. It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves with a trial close to that of the Dajjal. As for the believer," or "the Muslim" — I do not know which of the two Asma said — "he will say, 'Muhammad came to us with clear proofs, and we responded to him and believed.' It will be said to him, 'Sleep in peace, righteous one. We knew that you were certain in faith.' But as for the hypocrite," or "the doubter" — I do not know which of the two Asma said — "he will say, 'I do not know. I heard the people saying something, so I said it too.'"
