We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we entered the state of ihram for hajj. We arrived in Mecca on the fourth day of Dhul-Hijjah. The Prophet ﷺ commanded us to perform tawaf around the Kaaba and to walk between Safa and Marwa, then to convert our intention into umrah and exit ihram, except for those who had brought a sacrificial animal with them. None of us had brought a sacrificial animal except the Prophet ﷺ and Talha. Ali came from Yemen bringing a sacrificial animal with him, and he said, "I entered ihram for whatever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered ihram for."The people said, "Shall we set out for Mina with our private parts still dripping?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had I known earlier what I now know, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal. Were it not that I have the sacrificial animal with me, I too would have exited ihram."Suraqa met him while he was throwing pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba and asked, "Messenger of Allah, is this particular ruling for us alone?"He replied, "No, it is forever."Ayesha had arrived in Mecca with him while menstruating, so the Prophet ﷺ instructed her to perform all the rites of hajj except that she should not perform tawaf or pray until she became pure. When they camped at Batha, Ayesha said, "Messenger of Allah, are you all going back having performed both hajj and umrah, while I go back having performed only hajj?"He then ordered Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr al-Siddiq to take her to Tanim, and she performed an umrah in Dhul-Hijjah after the days of hajj.
حدثنا الحسن بن عمر حدثنا يزيد عن حبيب عن عطاء
كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ فلبينا بالحج وقدمنا مكة لأربع خلون من ذي الحجة فأمرنا النبي ﷺ أن نطوف بالبيت وبالصفا والمروة وأن نجعلها عمرة ونحل إلا من كان معه هدي قال ولم يكن مع أحد منا هدي غير النبي ﷺ وطلحة وجاء علي من اليمن معه الهدي فقال أهللت بما أهل به رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا ننطلق إلى منى وذكر أحدنا يقطر قال رسول الله ﷺ إني لو استقبلت من أمري ما استدبرت ما أهديت ولولا أن معي الهدي لحللت قال ولقيه سراقة وهو يرمي جمرة العقبة فقال يا رسول الله ألنا هذه خاصة قال لا بل لأبد قال وكانت عائشة قدمت معه مكة وهي حائض فأمرها النبي ﷺ أن تنسك المناسك كلها غير أنها لا تطوف ولا تصلي حتى تطهر فلما نزلوا البطحاء قالت عائشة يا رسول الله أتنطلقون بحجة وعمرة وأنطلق بحجة قال ثم أمر عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر الصديق أن ينطلق معها إلى التنعيم فاعتمرت عمرة في ذي الحجة بعد أيام الحج
