The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand my soul is, I would love to fight in the cause of Allah and be killed, then brought back to life, then killed again, then brought back to life, then killed again."Abu Hurairah used to repeat this three times, saying, "I bear witness by Allah."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يوسف أخبرنا مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال والذي نفسي بيده وددت أني أقاتل في سبيل الله فأقتل ثم أحيا ثم أقتل ثم أحيا ثم أقتل فكان أبو هريرة يقولهن ثلاثا أشهد بالله
