Israil Abu Musa reported,

I met him in Kufa, and he came to Ibn Shabrama and said, "Take me to Isa so that I may admonish him." It seemed Ibn Shabrama feared for him and did not do it.He said, Hasan narrated to us, when Hasan bin Ali marched against Muawiya with his battalions, Amr bin As said to Muawiya, "I see battalions that will not turn back until those behind them turn back."Muawiya said, "Who will care for the children of the Muslims?"Amr replied, "I will."Then Abdullah bin Amir and Abdul-Rahman bin Samura said, "We will meet him and propose reconciliation to him."Hasan said, I heard Abu Bakra say, while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon, Hasan came in, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "This son of mine is a master, and perhaps Allah will reconcile through him two great groups of the Muslims."

ولقيته بالكوفة وجاء إلى ابن شبرمة فقال أدخلني على عيسى فأعظه فكأن ابن شبرمة خاف عليه فلم يفعل قال حدثنا الحسن قال لما سار الحسن بن علي رضي الله عنهما إلى معاوية بالكتائب قال عمرو بن العاص لمعاوية أرى كتيبة لا تولي حتى تدبر أخراها قال معاوية من لذراري المسلمين فقال أنا فقال عبد الله بن عامر وعبد الرحمن بن سمرة نلقاه فنقول له الصلح قال الحسن ولقد سمعت أبا بكرة قال بينا النبي ﷺ يخطب جاء الحسن فقال النبي ﷺ ابني هذا سيد ولعل الله أن يصلح به بين فئتين من المسلمين
