Ahnaf bin Qays said, "I went out with my weapon during the nights of the civil strife when Abu Bakra met me and asked, 'Where are you headed?'I replied, 'I intend to support the cousin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.'He said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When two Muslims face each other with their swords, both are among the people of the Fire."'It was asked, 'This applies to the killer, but what about the one killed?'He answered, 'He intended to kill his companion.'"Hammad bin Zayd said, "I mentioned this hadith to Ayub and Yunus bin Ubayd, hoping they would narrate it to me, but they said, 'Hasan only narrated this hadith from Ahnaf bin Qays, from Abu Bakra.'"Sulayman narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us with this report.Muammal said, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, Ayub, Yunus, Hisham, and Mualla bin Ziyad narrated to us, from Hasan, from Ahnaf, from Abu Bakra, from the Prophet ﷺ.Muamar also narrated it from Ayub. Bakkar bin Abdul-Aziz narrated it from his father, from Abu Bakra.Ghundar said, Shuba narrated to us, from Mansur, from Rabi bin Harash, from Abu Bakra, from the Prophet ﷺ. Sufyan, however, narrated it from Mansur without raising it to the Prophet.

خرجت بسلاحي ليالي الفتنة فاستقبلني أبو بكرة فقال أين تريد قلت أريد نصرة ابن عم رسول الله ﷺ قال قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا تواجه المسلمان بسيفيهما فكلاهما من أهل النار قيل فهذا القاتل فما بال المقتول قال إنه أراد قتل صاحبه قال حماد بن زيد فذكرت هذا الحديث لأيوب ويونس بن عبيد وأنا أريد أن يحدثاني به فقالا إنما روى هذا الحديث الحسن عن الأحنف بن قيس عن أبي بكرة حدثنا سليمان حدثنا حماد بهذا وقال مؤمل حدثنا حماد بن زيد حدثنا أيوب ويونس وهشام ومعلى بن زياد عن الحسن عن الأحنف عن أبي بكرة عن النبي ﷺ ورواه معمر عن أيوب ورواه بكار بن عبد العزيز عن أبيه عن أبي بكرة وقال غندر حدثنا شعبة عن منصور عن ربعي بن حراش عن أبي بكرة عن النبي ﷺ ولم يرفعه سفيان عن منصور
