I was sitting with Abu Hurairah in the Prophet's mosque ﷺ in Medina, and Marwan was with us.Abu Hurairah said, "I heard the truthful and trusted one say, 'The destruction of my nation will come at the hands of young boys from Quraysh.'"Marwan said, "May Allah's curse be upon them, young boys!"Abu Hurairah replied, "If I wished to say the sons of so-and-so and the sons of so-and-so, I would do so."So I used to go out with my grandfather to the sons of Marwan when they came to power in Sham, and whenever he saw them as young boys, he would say to us, "Perhaps these are among them."We would say, "You know best."

كنت جالسا مع أبي هريرة في مسجد النبي ﷺ بالمدينة ومعنا مروان قال أبو هريرة سمعت الصادق المصدوق يقول هلكة أمتي على يدي غلمة من قريش فقال مروان لعنة الله عليهم غلمة فقال أبو هريرة لو شئت أن أقول بني فلان وبني فلان لفعلت فكنت أخرج مع جدي إلى بني مروان حين ملكوا بالشأم فإذا رآهم غلمانا أحداثا قال لنا عسى هؤلاء أن يكونوا منهم قلنا أنت أعلم
