The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever claims to have seen a dream he did not actually see will be charged with tying together two grains of barley, and he will never be able to do it. Whoever listens to the conversation of people who dislike his listening or try to avoid him will have molten lead poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever fashions an image will be punished and charged with breathing life into it, and he will never be able to do so."Sufyan said, Ayub connected this chain for us.Qutayba said, Abu Awana narrated to us from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Abu Hurairah as his own statement, "Whoever lies about his dream..."Shuba reported from Abu Hashim ar-Rummani, "I heard Ikrima say that Abu Hurairah said as his own words, 'Whoever fashions an image, whoever claims a false dream, and whoever listens...'"Ishaq narrated to us, Khalid narrated to us from Khalid, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said, "Whoever listens, whoever claims a false dream, and whoever fashions an image..." and he mentioned something similar.Hisham followed him in this narration, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas as his own statement.
He also related the hadith of Ayub, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, "Whoever depicts an image." Khalid and Hisham also related it from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, as a stopped report, and there is disagreement over it.There is also disagreement regarding Qatada. Hammam said, from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Abu Hurairah, as a raised report, but Abu Awana related it as a stopped report attributed to Abu Hurairah. Abu Hashim Rumani followed him in this, relating it from Ikrima, from Abu Hurairah, as his own statement, and this is what Shubah reported from him.
