While the Prophet ﷺ was distributing some shares, Abdullah bin Dhul-Khuwaysirah at-Tamimi came and said, "Be just, Messenger of Allah."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Woe to you! Who will be just if I am not just?"Umar bin Khattab said, "Let me strike off his neck."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Leave him. He has companions whose prayer one of you would consider insignificant compared to theirs, and whose fasting would seem trivial compared to theirs. They will pass out of the religion just as an arrow passes through its prey. The archer looks at the arrow's feathers and finds nothing on them, then looks at its shaft and finds nothing on it, then looks at its binding and finds nothing on it, then looks at its wood and finds nothing on it. The arrow has shot clean through, outpacing the dung and the blood. Their distinguishing sign is a man with one of his arms," or he said "one of his breasts, like the breast of a woman," or he said "like a lump of flesh that quivers. They will come out at a time of division among the people."Abu Saeed said, "I bear witness that I heard this from the Prophet ﷺ, and I bear witness that Ali killed them while I was with him, and the man was brought forth matching the description the Prophet ﷺ had given." He said, "And concerning him was revealed, 'Among them are those who criticize you regarding the charities'" [Tawbah 9:58].
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد حدثنا هشام أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
بينا النبي ﷺ يقسم جاء عبد الله بن ذي الخويصرة التميمي فقال اعدل يا رسول الله فقال ويلك ومن يعدل إذا لم أعدل قال عمر بن الخطاب دعني أضرب عنقه قال دعه فإن له أصحابا يحقر أحدكم صلاته مع صلاته وصيامه مع صيامه يمرقون من الدين كما يمرق السهم من الرمية ينظر في قذذه فلا يوجد فيه شيء ثم ينظر في نصله فلا يوجد فيه شيء ثم ينظر في رصافه فلا يوجد فيه شيء ثم ينظر في نضيه فلا يوجد فيه شيء قد سبق الفرث والدم آيتهم رجل إحدى يديه أو قال ثدييه مثل ثدي المرأة أو قال مثل البضعة تدردر يخرجون على حين فرقة من الناس قال أبو سعيد أشهد سمعت من النبي ﷺ وأشهد أن عليا قتلهم وأنا معه جيء بالرجل على النعت الذي نعته النبي ﷺ قال فنزلت فيه {ومنهم من يلمزك في الصدقات}
