Ali said, "We have no book to read except the Book of Allah, apart from this scroll."He then brought it out, and in it were rulings concerning wounds and the ages of camels used in compensation.It also contained, "Madinah is sacred ground, from Ayr to Thawr. Whoever introduces an innovation into it or shelters one who does, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. No obligatory worship or voluntary deed will be accepted from him on the Day of Resurrection.Whoever attaches himself in loyalty to a people other than his own masters without their permission, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. No obligatory worship or voluntary deed will be accepted from him on the Day of Resurrection.The protection granted by the Muslims is one, extended even by the lowest among them. Whoever violates the protection given by a Muslim, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people. No obligatory worship or voluntary deed will be accepted from him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا جرير عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمي عن أبيه قال قال
ما عندنا كتاب نقرؤه إلا كتاب الله غير هذه الصحيفة قال فأخرجها فإذا فيها أشياء من الجراحات وأسنان الإبل قال وفيها المدينة حرم ما بين عير إلى ثور فمن أحدث فيها حدثا أو آوى محدثا فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين لا يقبل منه يوم القيامة صرف ولا عدل ومن والى قوما بغير إذن مواليه فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين لا يقبل منه يوم القيامة صرف ولا عدل وذمة المسلمين واحدة يسعى بها أدناهم فمن أخفر مسلما فعليه لعنة الله والملائكة والناس أجمعين لا يقبل منه يوم القيامة صرف ولا عدل
