Jabir bin Abdullah reported,

A man from the Ansar made his slave a mudabbar, meaning the slave would be freed upon his master's death, and he owned no other property besides him. When this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he asked, "Who will buy him from me?" Naeem bin Naham bought him for eight hundred dirhams.I heard Jabir bin Abdullah say that he was a Coptic slave who died in the first year.
