He narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "The best of you are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."Imran said, "I do not know whether he mentioned two or three generations after his own.""Then there will come a people who make vows but do not fulfill them, who betray and cannot be trusted, who give testimony without being asked to bear witness, and obesity will appear among them."
حدثنا مسدد عن يحيى بن سعيد عن شعبة قال حدثني أبو جمرة حدثنا زهدم بن مضرب قال سمعت
يحدث عن النبي ﷺ قال خيركم قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم قال عمران لا أدري ذكر ثنتين أو ثلاثا بعد قرنه ثم يجيء قوم ينذرون ولا يفون ويخونون ولا يؤتمنون ويشهدون ولا يستشهدون ويظهر فيهم السمن
