On the day of Uhud, the polytheists were defeated, a defeat clearly visible among them. Then Iblis cried out, "Servants of Allah, watch your rear!" So the front ranks turned back and clashed with their own rear ranks. Huzaifa bin Yaman looked, and there was his father among them. He shouted, "My father! My father!"By Allah, they did not hold back until they had killed him. Huzaifa said, "May Allah forgive you."Urwa said, By Allah, a trace of goodness from that incident remained in Huzaifa until he met Allah.

هزم المشركون يوم أحد هزيمة تعرف فيهم فصرخ إبليس أي عباد الله أخراكم فرجعت أولاهم فاجتلدت هي وأخراهم فنظر حذيفة بن اليمان فإذا هو بأبيه فقال أبي أبي قالت فوالله ما انحجزوا حتى قتلوه فقال حذيفة غفر الله لكم قال عروة فوالله ما زالت في حذيفة منها بقية خير حتى لقي الله
