The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man... [alternate chain] Abdul-Rahman, meaning Ibn Bishr, narrated to me, saying, Bahz bin Asad narrated to us, saying, Shuba narrated to us, saying, Saad bin Ibrahim informed me, saying, I heard Hafs bin Asim say, I heard a man from al-Azd called Malik Ibn Buhayna report that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man praying two rakahs after the iqamah for the prayer had already been called. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, the people gathered around that man, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Is the dawn prayer four? Is the dawn prayer four?"Ghundar and Muaz followed Bahz in narrating this from Shuba, naming him as Malik. Ibn Ishaq narrated it from Saad, from Hafs, from Abdullah Ibn Buhayna. Hammad said, Saad informed us, from Hafs, from Malik.
حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله قال حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن أبيه عن حفص بن عاصم
مر النبي ﷺ برجل قال ح و حدثني عبد الرحمن يعني ابن بشر قال حدثنا بهز بن أسد قال حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرني سعد بن إبراهيم قال سمعت حفص بن عاصم قال سمعت رجلا من الأزد يقال له مالك ابن بحينة أن رسول الله ﷺ رأى رجلا وقد أقيمت الصلاة يصلي ركعتين فلما انصرف رسول الله ﷺ لاث به الناس وقال له رسول الله ﷺ الصبح أربعا الصبح أربعا تابعه غندر ومعاذ عن شعبة في مالك وقال ابن إسحاق عن سعد عن حفص عن عبد الله ابن بحينة وقال حماد أخبرنا سعد عن حفص عن مالك
