The Prophet ﷺ said, "The nations were shown to me. I saw a prophet passing by with a whole nation behind him, another prophet with a small group, another with ten followers, another with five, and another passing alone. Then I looked and saw a great multitude, and I asked, 'Jibreel, are these my nation?'He said, 'No, but look toward the horizon.'I looked, and there was an enormous multitude. He said, 'These are your nation, and ahead of them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment.'I asked, 'Why is that?'He answered, 'Because they did not cauterize themselves, did not seek treatment by incantation, did not believe in evil omens, and they relied solely upon their Lord.'"Then Ukkasha bin Mihsan stood up and said, "Pray to Allah that He make me one of them."The Prophet said, "O Allah, make him one of them."Then another man stood up and said, "Pray to Allah that He make me one of them."The Prophet replied, "Ukkasha has beaten you to it."
حدثنا عمران بن ميسرة حدثنا ابن فضيل حدثنا حصين ح قال أبو عبد الله و حدثني أسيد بن زيد حدثنا هشيم عن حصين قال كنت عند سعيد بن جبير فقال حدثني
قال النبي ﷺ عرضت علي الأمم فأخذ النبي يمر معه الأمة والنبي يمر معه النفر والنبي يمر معه العشرة والنبي يمر معه الخمسة والنبي يمر وحده فنظرت فإذا سواد كثير قلت يا جبريل هؤلاء أمتي قال لا ولكن انظر إلى الأفق فنظرت فإذا سواد كثير قال هؤلاء أمتك وهؤلاء سبعون ألفا قدامهم لا حساب عليهم ولا عذاب قلت ولم قال كانوا لا يكتوون ولا يسترقون ولا يتطيرون وعلى ربهم يتوكلون فقام إليه عكاشة بن محصن فقال ادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال اللهم اجعله منهم ثم قام إليه رجل آخر قال ادع الله أن يجعلني منهم قال سبقك بها عكاشة
