Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

He informed him that some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he gave to every one of them who asked until everything he had was exhausted. When all that he had spent with his own hands was gone, he said to them, "Whatever good I have, I will never withhold from you. Whoever seeks chastity, Allah will grant him chastity. Whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient. Whoever seeks patience, Allah will give him patience. And you have never been given any gift better or more abundant than patience."
