I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "If the son of Adam had a valley full of wealth, he would love to have another one like it alongside it. Nothing fills the eye of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents."Ibn Abbas said, "I do not know whether this is from the Quran or not."He said, "And I heard Ibn Zubayr say this from the pulpit."
حدثني محمد أخبرنا مخلد أخبرنا ابن جريج قال سمعت عطاء يقول سمعت
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لو أن لابن آدم مثل واد مالا لأحب أن له إليه مثله ولا يملأ عين ابن آدم إلا التراب ويتوب الله على من تاب قال ابن عباس فلا أدري من القرآن هو أم لا قال وسمعت ابن الزبير يقول ذلك على المنبر
