We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at the Trench. He was digging while we carried away the dirt. As he passed by us, he said, "O Allah, there is no life but the life of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Muhajirun."Sahl bin Saad reported the same from the Prophet ﷺ.
