They asked, "Messenger of Allah, how should we send blessings upon you?"He replied, "Say, 'O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad, his wives, and his descendants, as You sent blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, and bestow Your grace upon Muhammad, his wives, and his descendants, as You bestowed Your grace upon the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.'"
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن أبيه عن عمرو بن سليم الزرقي قال أخبرني
أنهم قالوا يا رسول الله كيف نصلي عليك قال قولوا اللهم صل على محمد وأزواجه وذريته كما صليت على آل إبراهيم وبارك على محمد وأزواجه وذريته كما باركت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد
