Abu Juhayfa reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Abtah when Bilal came and announced the prayer to him. Then Bilal went out carrying the short spear and planted it in the ground before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Abtah, and he called the iqamah for the prayer.

حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور قال أخبرنا جعفر بن عون قال حدثنا أبو العميس

عن عون بن أبي جحيفة عن أبيه قال

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ بالأبطح فجاءه بلال فآذنه بالصلاة ثم خرج بلال بالعنزة حتى ركزها بين يدي رسول الله ﷺ بالأبطح وأقام الصلاة
