The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he went to his bed, would lie down on his right side and then say, "O Allah, I have submitted myself to You, I have turned my face toward You, I have entrusted my affairs to You, and I have placed my back under Your protection, out of longing for You and fear of You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You sent down and in Your Prophet whom You sent."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever says these words and then dies during that night has died upon the fitrah."The word in "they overawed them" [Araf 7:116] comes from رهبة, meaning dread. The form ملكوت comes from ملك, and رهبوت follows the same pattern, as in the saying, "Being feared is better than being pitied," which means that for you to be dreaded is better than for you to be shown pity.

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا أوى إلى فراشه نام على شقه الأيمن ثم قال اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك ووجهت وجهي إليك وفوضت أمري إليك وألجأت ظهري إليك رغبة ورهبة إليك لا ملجأ ولا منجا منك إلا إليك آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت وبنبيك الذي أرسلت وقال رسول الله ﷺ من قالهن ثم مات تحت ليلته مات على الفطرة {استرهبوهم} من الرهبة ملكوت ملك مثل رهبوت خير من رحموت تقول ترهب خير من أن ترحم
