The Prophet ﷺ instructed a man.Adam narrated to us, Shuba narrated to us, Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani narrated to us, from Bara bin Azib, that the Prophet ﷺ gave a man this advice. He said, "When you go to your bed, say, 'O Allah, I submit myself to You, entrust my affair to You, turn my face toward You, and place my back under Your protection, in hope of You and in fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and in Your Prophet whom You sent.' If you die, you will die upon the natural disposition of faith."
حدثنا سعيد بن الربيع ومحمد بن عرعرة قالا حدثنا شعبة عن أبي إسحاق سمع
أن النبي ﷺ أمر رجلا ح و حدثنا آدم حدثنا شعبة حدثنا أبو إسحاق الهمداني عن البراء بن عازب أن النبي ﷺ أوصى رجلا فقال إذا أردت مضجعك فقل اللهم أسلمت نفسي إليك وفوضت أمري إليك ووجهت وجهي إليك وألجأت ظهري إليك رغبة ورهبة إليك لا ملجا ولا منجا منك إلا إليك آمنت بكتابك الذي أنزلت وبنبيك الذي أرسلت فإن مت مت على الفطرة
