The Prophet ﷺ had the finest character of all people. I had a younger brother called Abu Umayr, who I believe had just been weaned. Whenever the Prophet ﷺ came, he would say, "Abu Umayr, what happened to the Nughayr?" referring to a small bird he used to play with.Sometimes the time for prayer would come while he was in our house, so he would order the mat beneath him to be swept and sprinkled with water. Then he would stand, and we would stand behind him, and he would lead us in prayer.

كان النبي ﷺ أحسن الناس خلقا وكان لي أخ يقال له أبو عمير قال أحسبه فطيما وكان إذا جاء قال يا أبا عمير ما فعل النغير نغر كان يلعب به فربما حضر الصلاة وهو في بيتنا فيأمر بالبساط الذي تحته فيكنس وينضح ثم يقوم ونقوم خلفه فيصلي بنا
