A boy was born to a man among us, and he named him Qasim. People said to him, "We will not let you take the kunya Abu Qasim, nor will we honor you with that." So he went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Name your son Abdul-Rahman."

ولد لرجل منا غلام فسماه القاسم فقالوا لا نكنيك بأبي القاسم ولا ننعمك عينا فأتى النبي ﷺ فذكر ذلك له فقال أسم ابنك عبد الرحمن
