Abdullah bin Umar reported,

After that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out together with Ubayy bin Kaab al-Ansari, heading toward the date palm grove where Ibn Sayyad was. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the grove, he began concealing himself behind the trunks of the palm trees, hoping to overhear something from Ibn Sayyad before Ibn Sayyad could see him.Ibn Sayyad was lying on his bed wrapped in a velvet cloak, from which a faint murmuring or humming could be heard. Then Ibn Sayyad's mother caught sight of the Prophet ﷺ as he was concealing himself behind the palm trunks, and she called out to Ibn Sayyad, "Saaf!" (which was his name), "This is Muhammad!" At that, Ibn Sayyad stopped what he was doing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had she left him alone..."
