The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Bilal makes the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum makes the call." He then added that Ibn Umm Maktum was a blind man who would not make the call until he was told, "Morning has come, morning has come."
حدثنا عبد الله بن مسلمة عن مالك عن ابن شهاب
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن بلالا يؤذن بليل فكلوا واشربوا حتى ينادي ابن أم مكتوم ثم قال وكان رجلا أعمى لا ينادي حتى يقال له أصبحت أصبحت
