A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am ruined. I had relations with my wife during Ramadan."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Free a slave."The man replied, "I have none."He said, "Then fast two consecutive months."The man said, "I cannot."He said, "Then feed sixty poor people."The man said, "I have nothing to give."Then a large basket of dates was brought. Ibrahim explained that "araq" means a large basket.The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Where is the questioner? Give this in charity."The man said, "Should I give it to someone poorer than myself? By Allah, there is no household between the two lava plains of Madinah poorer than ours."The Prophet ﷺ laughed until his molars showed, then said, "Then you take it."
