We came to the Prophet ﷺ as a group of young men close in age, and we stayed with him for twenty nights. He thought that we had grown homesick for our families, so he asked us about whom we had left behind, and we told him. He was gentle and compassionate, and he said, "Return to your families, teach them, instruct them, and pray as you have seen me pray. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call to prayer, and let the eldest among you lead the prayer."

أتينا النبي ﷺ ونحن شببة متقاربون فأقمنا عنده عشرين ليلة فظن أنا اشتقنا أهلنا وسألنا عمن تركنا في أهلنا فأخبرناه وكان رفيقا رحيما فقال ارجعوا إلى أهليكم فعلموهم ومروهم وصلوا كما رأيتموني أصلي وإذا حضرت الصلاة فليؤذن لكم أحدكم ثم ليؤمكم أكبركم
