He related that the Prophet ﷺ had a ring made of gold and would wear it with the stone turned toward the inside of his palm. The people then had rings of gold made for themselves. He ascended the pulpit, praised Allah and extolled Him, and said, "I had this ring made, but I will no longer wear it." He cast it aside, and the people cast theirs aside as well.Juwayriyah said, "I believe he said it was on his right hand."
حدثنا موسى بن إسماعيل حدثنا جويرية عن نافع أن
حدثه أن النبي ﷺ اصطنع خاتما من ذهب وجعل فصه في بطن كفه إذا لبسه فاصطنع الناس خواتيم من ذهب فرقي المنبر فحمد الله وأثنى عليه فقال إني كنت اصطنعته وإني لا ألبسه فنبذه فنبذ الناس قال جويرية ولا أحسبه إلا قال في يده اليمنى
