I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a red leather tent. I saw Bilal taking the leftover water from the Prophet's ﷺ ablution, and the people were rushing toward it. Whoever managed to get some of it wiped himself with it, and whoever could not get any took from the moisture on his companion's hand.

أتيت النبي ﷺ وهو في قبة حمراء من أدم ورأيت بلالا أخذ وضوء النبي ﷺ والناس يبتدرون الوضوء فمن أصاب منه شيئا تمسح به ومن لم يصب منه شيئا أخذ من بلل يد صاحبه
