A man asked, "Messenger of Allah, what clothing may the pilgrim in ihram wear?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "The pilgrim in ihram must not wear a shirt, trousers, a hooded cloak, or leather socks, unless he cannot find sandals, in which case let him wear something that comes below the ankles."

أن رجلا قال يا رسول الله ما يلبس المحرم من الثياب فقال النبي ﷺ لا يلبس المحرم القميص ولا السراويل ولا البرنس ولا الخفين إلا أن لا يجد النعلين فليلبس ما هو أسفل من الكعبين
