He narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "While a man was dragging his lower garment in pride, he was suddenly swallowed up by the earth, and he will continue sinking into it until the Day of Resurrection."Yunus corroborated this from Zuhri, but Shuayb did not trace it back to the Prophet when narrating from Zuhri.Abdullah bin Muhammad related to me, Wahb bin Jareer narrated to us, my father informed us, from his uncle Jareer bin Zayd, who said, I was with Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar at the door of his house when he said, "I heard Abu Hurayrah say that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say something similar."

حدثه أن رسول الله ﷺ قال بينا رجل يجر إزاره إذ خسف به فهو يتجلل في الأرض إلى يوم القيامة تابعه يونس عن الزهري ولم يرفعه شعيب عن الزهري حدثني عبد الله بن محمد حدثنا وهب بن جرير أخبرنا أبي عن عمه جرير بن زيد قال كنت مع سالم بن عبد الله بن عمر على باب داره فقال سمعت أبا هريرة سمع النبي ﷺ نحوه
