It was read to Ayub from the books of Abu Qilaba, some of which he transmitted himself and some of which were read to him, and in the book was the following from Anas, that Abu Talha and Anas bin Nadr cauterized him, and Abu Talha cauterized him with his own hand.Abbad bin Mansur reported from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Anas bin Malik, who said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave permission to a household of the Ansar to use ruqyah for snake or scorpion stings and for ear ailments."Anas said, "I was cauterized for pleurisy while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was still alive, and Abu Talha, Anas bin Nadr, and Zayd bin Thabit were present with me, and it was Abu Talha who cauterized me."
