"There is no ruqyah except for the evil eye or a venomous sting."I mentioned this to Saeed bin Jubayr, and he said, Ibn Abbas narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The nations were shown to me. I saw a prophet passing by with a small group of followers, and another prophet with one or two companions, and a prophet with no one at all, until a vast multitude was raised up before me.I asked, 'Who are these? Is this my nation?'It was said, 'No, this is Musa and his people. Look toward the horizon.'I looked, and there was a great multitude filling the horizon.Then I was told, 'Look here and there across the horizons of the sky.'I looked, and a vast multitude had filled the horizon.It was said, 'This is your nation, and seventy thousand of them will enter Paradise without reckoning.'"Then he went inside without explaining further to them. The people began discussing among themselves, saying, "We are the ones who believed in Allah and followed His Messenger, so we must be them. Or perhaps it is our children who were born into Islam, since we ourselves were born in the time of ignorance."When this reached the Prophet ﷺ, he came out and said, "They are those who do not seek ruqyah, do not practice augury, do not seek to be cauterized, and who place their trust in their Lord."Ukkashah bin Mihsan said, "Messenger of Allah, am I one of them?"He replied, "Yes."Then another man stood up and said, "Am I one of them?"He answered, "Ukkashah has beaten you to it."

لا رقية إلا من عين أو حمة فذكرته لسعيد بن جبير فقال حدثنا ابن عباس قال رسول الله ﷺ عرضت علي الأمم فجعل النبي والنبيان يمرون معهم الرهط والنبي ليس معه أحد حتى رفع لي سواد عظيم قلت ما هذا أمتي هذه قيل بل هذا موسى وقومه قيل انظر إلى الأفق فإذا سواد يملأ الأفق ثم قيل لي انظر ها هنا وها هنا في آفاق السماء فإذا سواد قد ملأ الأفق قيل هذه أمتك ويدخل الجنة من هؤلاء سبعون ألفا بغير حساب ثم دخل ولم يبين لهم فأفاض القوم وقالوا نحن الذين آمنا بالله واتبعنا رسوله فنحن هم أو أولادنا الذين ولدوا في الإسلام فإنا ولدنا في الجاهلية فبلغ النبي ﷺ فخرج فقال هم الذين لا يسترقون ولا يتطيرون ولا يكتوون وعلى ربهم يتوكلون فقال عكاشة بن محصن أمنهم أنا يا رسول الله قال نعم فقام آخر فقال أمنهم أنا قال سبقك بها عكاشة
