Bara bin Azib reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the prayer one day and then said, "Whoever prays our prayer and faces our qiblah must not slaughter his sacrifice until he has finished."Abu Burda bin Niyar stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have already done so."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "That is something you hastened."Abu Burda bin Niyar said, "I have a young goat that is better than two mature ones. Shall I slaughter it?"He said, "Yes, but it will not suffice for anyone after you."Amir said, "It was the better of his two sacrifices."
