The Prophet ﷺ said, "The first thing we will do on this day of ours is pray, then return and offer the sacrifice. Whoever does so has followed our practice, and whoever slaughtered before the prayer has merely offered meat to his family. It has nothing to do with the sacrificial rite."Abu Burda bin Niyar, who had already slaughtered, stood up and said, "I have a young goat."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Slaughter it, but it will not suffice for anyone after you."Mutarrif reported from Amir, from al-Bara, that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever slaughters after the prayer has completed his rite and followed the practice of the Muslims."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا غندر حدثنا شعبة عن زبيد الإيامي عن الشعبي
قال النبي ﷺ إن أول ما نبدأ به في يومنا هذا أن نصلي ثم نرجع فننحر من فعله فقد أصاب سنتنا ومن ذبح قبل فإنما هو لحم قدمه لأهله ليس من النسك في شيء فقام أبو بردة بن نيار وقد ذبح فقال إن عندي جذعة فقال اذبحها ولن تجزي عن أحد بعدك قال مطرف عن عامر عن البراء قال النبي ﷺ من ذبح بعد الصلاة تم نسكه وأصاب سنة المسلمين
