I was a guest of Abu Hurayrah for seven nights. He, his wife, and his servant would divide the night into three parts, taking turns. One would pray, then wake the next.I heard him say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed dates among his companions, and my share was seven dates, one of which was dried and shriveled."
حدثنا مسدد حدثنا حماد بن زيد عن عباس الجريري
تضيفت أبا هريرة سبعا فكان هو وامرأته وخادمه يعتقبون الليل أثلاثا يصلي هذا ثم يوقظ هذا وسمعته يقول قسم رسول الله ﷺ بين أصحابه تمرا فأصابني سبع تمرات إحداهن حشفة
