A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am ruined."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Why?"He replied, "I had relations with my wife during Ramadan."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then free a slave."The man said, "I cannot afford it."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then fast two consecutive months."He said, "I am unable to."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then feed sixty poor people."He said, "I cannot find the means."Then a basket of dates was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked, "Where is the one who was asking?"The man replied, "Here I am."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give this in charity."The man said, "To someone more in need than us, Messenger of Allah? By the One who sent you with the truth, there is no household between the two lava plains of Madinah more in need than ours."The Prophet ﷺ laughed until his molars were visible, then said, "Then you keep it."
