A man from Aslam came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was in the mosque and called out to him, saying, "Messenger of Allah, the wretched one has committed adultery," meaning himself.The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him, so the man moved to the side his face had turned toward and said, "Messenger of Allah, the wretched one has committed adultery."The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him again, so he moved to the side his face had turned toward and repeated the same words. The Prophet ﷺ turned away once more, and the man moved around to face him a fourth time.When he had testified against himself four times, the Prophet ﷺ called him over and asked, "Are you insane?"He replied, "No."The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Take him away and stone him." The man was married.
حدثنا أبو اليمان أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري قال أخبرني أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن وسعيد بن المسيب أن
أتى رجل من أسلم رسول الله ﷺ وهو في المسجد فناداه فقال يا رسول الله إن الأخر قد زنى يعني نفسه فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض قبله فقال يا رسول الله إن الأخر قد زنى فأعرض عنه فتنحى لشق وجهه الذي أعرض قبله فقال له ذلك فأعرض عنه فتنحى له الرابعة فلما شهد على نفسه أربع شهادات دعاه فقال هل بك جنون قال لا فقال النبي ﷺ اذهبوا به فارجموه وكان قد أحصن
