Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the people in prayer. He stood for a long time, about the length of Surah al-Baqarah, then bowed for a long time, then raised his head and stood for another long period, though shorter than the first standing. Then he bowed again for a long time, though shorter than the first bowing, then prostrated. Then he stood again for a long period, though shorter than the first standing, then bowed for a long time, shorter than the first bowing, then raised his head and stood for a long time, shorter than the first standing, then bowed for a long time, shorter than the first bowing, then raised his head, then prostrated. Then he concluded the prayer, by which time the sun had cleared. He said, "The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah. They are not eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone. So when you see that, remember Allah."They said, "Messenger of Allah, we saw you reaching for something while standing in your place, then we saw you draw back."He said, "I saw Paradise," or "Paradise was shown to me, and I reached out for a cluster of its fruit. Had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remained. And I saw the Fire, and I have never seen a sight like today's. I saw that most of its inhabitants were women."They said, "Why is that, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "Because of their ingratitude."It was said, "Are they ungrateful to Allah?"He said, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness shown to them. Even if you were good to one of them all your life, then she saw something from you she disliked, she would say, 'I have never seen any good from you.'"
