Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Seven categories of women are prohibited through lineage, and seven through marriage ties. Then he recited, "Prohibited to you are your mothers..." [Nisa 4:23], the verse.Abdullah bin Jafar married both the daughter of Ali and the wife of Ali at the same time.Ibn Sirin said, "There is no harm in it."Hasan disapproved of it once, then said, "There is no harm in it."Hasan bin Hasan bin Ali married two daughters of an uncle on the same night. Jabir bin Zayd disliked this because it severs kinship ties, but there is no prohibition against it, based on the words of the Most High, "And lawful to you are all others beyond these" [Nisa 4:24].Ikrima reported from Ibn Abbas that if a man commits fornication with his wife's sister, his wife does not become forbidden to him.It is narrated from Yahya al-Kindi, from Shaybi and Abu Jafar, regarding one who engages sexually with a young boy, that if he penetrates him, he must not then marry the boy's mother. But this Yahya is unknown, and no one corroborates the report.Ikrima reported from Ibn Abbas that if he commits fornication with her, his wife does not become forbidden to him.It is mentioned from Abu Nasr that Ibn Abbas declared it forbidden, but this Abu Nasr is not known to have heard from Ibn Abbas directly. It is narrated from Imran bin Husayn, Jabir bin Zayd, Hasan, and some of the people of Iraq that she becomes forbidden to him.Abu Hurairah said, "She does not become forbidden to him until he presses against the ground," meaning until he has intercourse.Ibn al-Musayyab, Urwa, and Zuhri permitted it.Zuhri said that Ali said, "She does not become forbidden." This report is mursal.
