Umar said, "Ubayy is the best reciter among us, yet we still set aside some of what Ubayy recites. Ubayy says, 'I took it directly from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I will not abandon it for anything.' But Allah the Exalted has said, 'We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth one better than it or similar to it' [Baqarah 2:106]."

قال عمر أبي أقرؤنا وإنا لندع من لحن أبي وأبي يقول أخذته من في رسول الله ﷺ فلا أتركه لشيء قال الله تعالى {ما ننسخ من آية أو ننسها نأت بخير منها أو مثلها}
